The department of sociology is beginning a new experimental series - "Professor and Lunch" - directed at sociology majors, concentrators and any other undergrads who are interested in sociology. The idea is to meet with one of the professors in the department, in a relaxed atmosphere, who will speak about their work and answer questions from students. In particular, we would like you to learn about innovative ways of doing sociological research; what materials and methods sociologists use in order to figure out the questions that interest them. This should serve you well when you come to write your senior thesis or similar work.
